I've got all but 4 done. The douchebag teacher likes to play games too - he gives us a packet of legal definitions (or terms) due each week. Last week 2 packets were due even though he hasn't pulled that stunt all semester. Yes the date was written on both packets but I stop once I reach the end of a packet and go to the next one after the next class. The first half was due last week. :eyes:

I currently have a B instead of an A because I keep getting creamed on lost points for not following his directions exactly, and not picking up on some of his gamesmanship (including my last homework - not definitions - which was writing a legal description of a sketch he gave us; the sketch had a legend but almost all of the legend items were labeled on the sketch except for the iron rods set. I thought the symbols for the IR's were just his attempt to call out the corners).

3. Riparian, littoral, navigable...someone has water on the mind.

I admit I know 12 of those that I could define. I know a few in how they're used (your proportioning) but couldn't define them to save my life.

on edit: legal descriptions are another thing altogether. Though all I've seen here for the "iron rod" is FIR or found iron rod or FCP for found cap and pin. I hate arc/chord/tangent shit too. Pain in the ass way to measure to me.

5. As for single and double proprtioning...
... since they were listed together I'm thinking from my research that they're related to the location of a lost corner on the GLO system - single going north/south, and double going both north/south and east/west. I also see single proportioning relating to the proportioning of excess or deficiencies found in simultaneous conveyances (ie: subdivisions).

Yes, I'm showing off what I've learned in Legal 1. :D

Acronyms are common but vary by location. IR(F)/F - Iron Rod Found - and IR(S)/S - Iron Rod Set - is the common tag up here. Typically, IRF govern over IRS.

Again showing off. :D
