I just tripped over my own feet walking down the street.
Besides making an ass of myself, I also managed to rip some skin off of my hand. For a while, it did look worse than it felt, but now my pinky finger hurts like fuck. Luckily, I was outside a mall so I went to security and got some band-aids, but I'm debating whether or not to get it checked out at the walk-in clinic nearby.

Jesus. Can't I injure myself doing something cool?

1. Sure you can! Just pick something cool and do it!
You may be injured - but you may not. :)

3. I didn't know that!
Apparently it was falsely attributed to Dr. Seuss. Or he just extended it from the "Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind". :)

4. Christmas night I was walking to the neighborhood bar
I took the alley which is never plowed and full of ice. It was dark and I had no idea that I was walking on ice. My legs slipped out from underneath me and I fell flat on my ass!! Broke my pinky toe and couldn't put on my favorite pair of shoes for a couple of months. The toe is just now finally getting healed and doesn't hurt anymore.

5. get the pinky checked...it matters more than you may think
I dislocated mine in two places December 1 and I may end up having to have surgery even though I had the dislocations reduced promptly and saw a hand specialist and an occupational therapist. Check your PMs. I send you some info.
