Man Masquerading As Beer Distributor Stealing Beer Signs

MANITOWOC — A man masquerading as a beer distributor is wanted for stealing neon beer signs from stores around the area.

Beer signs valued between $200 to $1,000 have been stolen from stores in Manitowoc, Two Rivers, Sturgeon Bay and Algoma, according to the area police departments.

Police are looking for a white male described as 6-feet tall and heavyset. He was seen driving a newer, dark-colored Chevy Suburban or Tahoe. The vehicle is towing an enclosed black 20-foot trailer.

Police have surveillance video of the man entering a Manitowoc business and leaving the store with a neon beer sign. A woman accompanies him in the video.

According to police, the man tells stores that he is cleaning or replacing the signs he takes from the businesses. The signs are not returned.
