What are your stats?
Edited on Sun Mar-07-04 09:48 PM by everythingsxen
Since alignment has been asked and established here..
If you were a D&D character, what would your stats be?

I know it is a bit arbitrary, but what would you estimate them as?

The d20 system (D&D 3.5) uses a scale from 3 to 18 (with 10 or 11 being human average) to represent the statistics of: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma. The SRD details the full definition of each stat, for the most part though they are self explanatory.

To start figuring your stats, crudely I admit, look at the following chart on it you will find a column marked "heavy load". The top end of that column (doubled) will be an amount equal to what you could dead-lift and hold for say, the Olympics. Assuming you have done *some* weight lifting, you should be able to extrapolate your Strength from that. Dexterity and Constitution are a lot more arbitrary and a question of honesty on your part. Are you more or less dexterous than most people? More or less likely to get sick? Keep in mind 10's and 11's are the average.

That's physical stats, now, mental stats. Intelligence is relatively easy, divide your I.Q by 10 and that should give you a rough approximation of your INT score. Wisdom and Charisma are arbitrary stats as well. Just decide how perceptive you are, compared to the average person. As for Charisma, it is not just physical looks. It is strength of personality. ( I think most DUers will have higher than average on all three mental stats, we are a pretty smart, strong willed, opinionated people. ;-))

I would guesstimate myself with the following stats:

Xen

Strength 13
Dexterity 10
Constitution 16
Intelligence 17
Wisdom 12
Charisma 11

All in all, I am a good character. I would make a bad-ass wizard.

1. Hmm...
Strength: 8
Dexterity: 8
Constitution: 10
Intelligence: 17
Wisdom: 11
Charisma: 8

I'd make a good wizard, but a horrible fighter.

7. A lot of 170 and 180 I.Q.s here. Impressive.
Makes me feel dumb with a 155.

8. The Player's Handbook doesn't designate it that way.
It just says 18 is genius level. Since 146 is that level you should have an 18. I would get the direct quote and page but my book is over my brother's house. I am referring to AD&D 1st and 2nd edition.

9. *shrug*
I do know what you mean though.

I was essentially using a hack-job version of the Palladium system. They also go on a 3 - 18+ scale, their system has you multiply by 10 to figure your "real" IQ.

12. Ah my fault.
I didn't read all your explanation there because I just assumed you were going with AD&D. The average Wisdom score in effect. Heh.

10. I was going by this quote from the original post:
"Intelligence is relatively easy, divide your I.Q by 10 and that should give you a rough approximation of your INT score."

Your way makes much more sense.

15. It's hard to say
I loved the game Wizardry and still do, though. When I was in middle school, D&D was huge. I'm not the most dextrous person, but I am generally healthy, smart according to IQ tests, and strong. Strength somewhat limited by small hands. I'd probably fit Priest the most by Wizardry standards.
