20. 1995 inifinit G20t....167k, second engine. Bought in 97' w/32k
My engine blew big chunks in the driveway at 127k...block was cracked after a rear end collision. I also blew a tire in a giant pot hole that damaged my front suspension and almost ripped the front wheel off. I just replaced the exhaust system on it and am doing the rear sway bars in a couple weeks which are rusted through..

Also replaced axle, suspension etc.... from that pot hole. I love the car still new/used engine is peppy as hell...fun to drive. 5 speed.

it's started having electrical problems which have been a bit costly, but the engine is good, drives like it's new and still looks good. Zero car payments for the past 10 years has been sweet!!!

great handling, small with a just enough power to make it fun.

We have a 2.0 5 spd. Jetta that my partner drives and that is like driving a marshmallow compared the G20t

My 98 Ranger has 38k and my 03 Galant has <18k. The Ranger was bought new in 97 and I received the Galant with 10k in 04. I just recently replaced the factory battery in the Ranger and the factory wiper blades on the Galant. I change the oil (Mobil 1) and rotate the tires on the Ranger every November and on the Galant every other November.

35. 1995 Toyota Camry
Bought it when it was three years old.
It lasted through several layers of anti-Bush bumper stickers, until finally now some more positive ones.
The driver's side door handle broke right in half on a really cold day two years ago, but there's still enough left to open it. And the left rear door will not open from the inside. But really, not too many problems to speak of.
It needs to hold together for a while, as I'm going through a bout of unemployment.

44. Oh my. I think that this is why, when we both hold jobs
we take care of the cars, follow all the maintenance routines, etc. We had a major break with the Volvo shortly after we both lost our jobs. $1500 that we charged on a credit card. Spouse was thinking of ditching the car and my reply was: and what would you do for a car? Who is going to lend you money to purchase another?

Unfortunately it has since gone kaputski. But my brother had it for years before he passed it on to me.

I couldn't have owned the same car for 10+ years though... I didn't get my license until I was 18. So I've only been able to drive for 9 years now. :P

47. Aye in spirit
we keep all our cars at least 10 years. My last one was past that, and we finally trashed it when the passenger door was held on with bungy cords, sometimes the drivers door had to be coerced shut, and the fumes entering the passenger compartment forced us to drive with the windows open. That one died about 7 years ago, so now I'm at 7 years into its replacement.

I have planned to on each purchase, but I am now three for three in having people run their own cars into mine. One ran a red and smashed me. One ran into the rear of my parked car. And the most recent was a 87 Y/o running into the rear while MIL was using my car.
