on rare and getting more rare single malts. I saw my friend at a big ceilidh tonight and this is the list of malts that you might want to stock up on.

Cardhu
Lagavulin 17 (there will be Lagavulin 16 he thinks)
Oban
Macallan 18 - ones with the vintage year printed on the label

Any others I will let you know as I hear about them.

Had a few good scotches this evening listening to massed pipe and drum bands. It was sooooo god.

I've never seen a lagavulin 17, though I've bought bottles of 16. Is there really a 17, or is that a typo on your part?

17. It's not a typo - that's what he told me.

It's been so long since i bought a bottle of Lagavulin, I can't remember whether it was 16 or 17, But I think it was 17. If I ever get to NYC - we'll have to go out and have a few single malts.
