A fifth of British workers would sleep with their boss to gain an instant promotion, a study claims.

A further quarter would kiss their managers to get a rise - while another 17 per cent would consider it if the money was right.

But the poll of more than 1,000 workers found 39 per cent still believe in working hard to progress.

Lisette Howlett, of recruitment firm HireScores.com, said: "Impressing your manager can come naturally - without the need for underhand tactics."
