I love rain just before daybreak too.

Here are some of mine:

the sound of rain on the roof or windows
piping-hot English or Irish breakfast tea with milk in it
meeting a friend for coffee

So far everything involves liquids...hmm...

27. A few of mine...
Creating a meal to sustain my family.
When homemade bread come out just right.
Already washed dishes.
Listening to the trees talk.
Talking to the newly sprouted veggies while i spritz them with water.
Warm kitties wrapped around each other on a clean couch late in the evening.
The colorful jars of food i put up last year.
The fact that my girls still appreciate Drama Queen Night with mom even though they are either nearing or well into their teen years.
The baby's open kisses and little monkey hugs.
My Mi's smiling eyes and warm touch.
Shelves of books.
Pictures in frames.
Apples fresh off of the trees.
Iced tea with honey.
Being at a place where i can feel, see and appreciate life.

29. The happiest I ever feel,
Edited on Wed Feb-25-09 03:24 PM by Lucian
even if only for an instant, is when I'm in a field or on a secluded lake, looking up at the Heavens. Nothing more peaceful in the world than that. That's why I got Orion and Scorpius tattooed on my forearms, to remind me of that happiness.

I also feel that happiness on a cool, brisk Autumn day, in a stroll through the woods. I'll be getting Fall-colored leaves tattooed on me somewhere (hopefully) soon.
