fyi, several of the drugs in clinical trials for my work are monoclonal antibodies for the treatment for asthma and COPD so maybe someday people like you won't need steroids...

I am a big believer in the monoclonal abs.

I normally only have to use my inhaler once every 6 months when I have a cold or something, but this thing has been going on a month with me using the inhaler 4-5 times a day. Thus the steroids.

I can't sleep and my appetite becomes voracious every time I have to take them.

I think you should use your extra energy to cook or bake. Perhaps make some bread and a hearty winter stew and when you're done you can nurture yourself with the results.
