Man, Darren Aronofsky is really good at depressing the shit out of me. Great film though.

4. I scored a screener copy of it the other night.
It was a great movie but really depressing.

8. I know
Requiem for a Dream depressed the hell out of me for weeks. I heard somewhere that he was making a new Robocop movie.

11. Glad to hear that you liked it.
When I saw the trailer, I thought it looked like something I'd like to see.

13. As a huge wrestling fan
I've been waiting for a movie like this for a long time. I'm also expecting Bruce to take the Best Original Song Oscar for the title song for this movie.

14. I like Mickey, he inhabits his roles, thought his Marv was cool & tailor made for Mickey...
Edited on Sat Jan-03-09 04:21 AM by bridgit
Good edgy crazy-ass in Spun, Domino, etc, everything of his from there to here all Mickey, all pieces of the same character, pieces of Mickey...I'm sure he's saving his money he's not a dumb guy, cause I don't want to have to see him work himself out of parts. The trailer does look cool though.

15. **SPOILER ALERT, SKIP THIS POST IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE**
I'll have to re-watch the movie to see if there are any more "blink and you'll miss it" references like this; but it was a brilliant move to have a fan at ringside during the last match wearing a Randy Savage t-shirt. A tip of the hat to the second-most tragic wrestling love story.
