Wow - I've got two girls after me.

I met this one girl at a park - we began to talk and I found out she was VERY liberal and almost a socialist like myself. We got each others numbers and we've been out since (tonight we went to a free showing of Bowling for Columbine). Only problem is that on the 20th she moves out of state to go to college. So I know this isn't truly going to work.

Anyway, Friday night we went over to some kids house to hang. A bunch of her friends that I had never met were there. I was talking with a few when this girl totally started hitting on me. Of course Sean doesn't take too well to hints so I ignored it. Well today my friend Jeff was talking with Candice (the girl that I've been sorta dating for a few months) and she says that this other girl really thought I was cute and wanted to get to know me. So Jeff got their number and I'm gonna get the balls to call her next week.

I've been shy my whole life and really haven't played the field all too well. I've had girlfriends in the past but I tend to skirt the issue of dating because of a lot of personal issues I have about my looks. Anyway these past few weeks have totally been a major confidence booster for me and I really hope it continues.

I guess this was just a self vanity post - but who cares? It's all good.

Take your time. I found my other-half when I was 35, 15 years ago. Yours will come in due time. Don't rush it but, please, believe in yourself. My God, you're just asking her to go out! Relax.

I have been "seriously shy" all my life. It's a bitch at parties but, otherwise, is no big deal. When you find the right person, you'll open up as soon as you are ready, and it will probably be very gradual. After 15 years, I'm still learning things about my partner. I think, maybe, that's part of the fun.
