Trees making the news, but not in the usual way
Once Christmas passes, trees rarely makes the news unless they fall during storms, serve as temporary homes for opponents of old-growth logging or get hit by a blight. Not anymore. These original photos from the SF Bay Area attempt to show trees in a new light -- as worthy of keeping around for their own sake.

I'd also be interested in people's reactions to the original poem at the end of the short report. Thanks!

1. no comments on the poem?
I can take it, good or bad. I've been in several creative writing workshops in my time, so if you have the time and inclination to read a short poem and look at a picture or two of trees, try:

3. Good point...
... I need to add the word "annually" to modify "renewable."

6. If you'll post your poetry here, I'll at least read it.
Thanks for being a friend to the trees. They're some of my favorite people.
