Let's just get this out in the open: Cadillac is RUINING LZ's Rock & Roll
if I saw that damn commercial one more time during the Oscars I was going to go screaming into the night. I really don't want GM to ruin one of my favorite songs by Led Zeppelin - it's like sacrilege.

Please make them stop!!

1. I have to say (as a BIG Zeppelin fan) . . .

That AOR stations long ago drove a ten-foot stake through the heart of "Rock and Roll" - along with "Stairway to Heaven", to the point that I change the channel when they come on. Cadillac just heaped fruit on the grave of overkill.

As long as Cadillac doesn't mess with "Out On The Tiles", "Kashmir" or "The Rain Song" . . . ;-)

5. Ummmmm. They aren't doing it without Zep's consent.
Cadillac is not fully at fault here...

Yeah, GM is messing with one of your favorite songs, but LZ had to agree to let Caddillac use their version.

6. Another thing about that commercial
I think they make a big mistake by showing a classic Cadillac along side the new one. This just makes me want to own the classic and reminds me how butt-ugly the new one is.

I cringe whenever I hear a song I like turned into a commercial but I find it hard to blame the artist for making money when they can.

12. You got that right!
I liked their first couple of albums--back in the late 60s. But I just can't listen to that stuff anymore.

14. I'm not a big fan of the Zep.
Let's just say I'm underwhelmed by their mystique...

Never saw what the big deal was.

13. blame Zeppelin
They are the ones letting their song be cheapened as a commercial jingle.
