Oh. I would say the Pickwick Theater in Desplains Illinois..
Seats about 1400. 80 foot cealings ..art deco style.
..opened in l928..lots of seats. and very comfortable to watch a film..

There are 3 other small theaters with the Main Theater, but it is the large theater I refer to.

but around here I'd say my favorite is the Grenada. Not as nice as the Inwood but also not all glitzed up. it still has its original character I think. They have concerts there too, and all the bands I've been interested in enough to actually go see lately seem to perform there.

:)

6. It's in Dallas.

All the coolest bands seem to play there. And they show movies there, but they also serve food, so it's not like a regular quiet theater type thing. Still... I think it's gorgeous.

On edit... there are only a couple of pics that give you any idea of the interior:http://www.granadatheater.com/indexe.html

It's kinda run down and small... I guess I have a different standard of beauty.

3. For me, it's my very own local Tampa Theatre
Built in 1926 as one of America's most elaborate "movie palaces", the Tampa Theatre today is a fiercely protected and generously supported landmark. Designed by famed theatre architect John Eberson, the Tampa is a superior example of the "atmospheric" style of theatre design. Inside the Tampa, audiences are transported to a lavish, romantic Mediterranean courtyard replete with old world statuary, flowers, and gargoyles. Over it all is a nighttime sky replete with twinkling stars and floating clouds.

Not to mention the beautiful balcony and the Mighty Wurlitzer!
