I've never pulled that 13 foot camper we bought last year but I do know truck drivers who can teach me how.

We were waiting for money from our Madoff account to pay the mortgage. I don't know if we can pay the car insurance and still have enough pay one phone bill to keep in touch (or to get any of that pilot business I just set myself up for).

Monday we are going to talk to the bank that is holding the mortgage on our home. I don't know how quickly we'll need to move out. I think a trip to Social Services might be a good idea. We have a very low combined income so just maybe there is help out there that I am unaware of. I do know that in some states the utilities cannot turn off your essential services when the temperature drops below a certain level.

I'll ask one of our neighbors to relocate the koi in our pond if we have vacate before the thaw.

Thank you for your help. I've never ask DU for good vibes before but I could sure use a ton of 'em now.

We will be talking with our bank this week to head off any foreclosure actions. We've made an appointment with a Realtor to start the process to list the house for sale on Tuesday afternoon. I've been looking for a new home down south. I've found a few we can afford if we can sell this place for more than what we owe on it.

17. If you're considering SC, I can tell you about almost every town in the state

Unfortunately, I'm almost useless beyond the state's borders, but 10-odd years ago I wrote a hiking book about SC, so I covered it like a blanket. All I know about the rest of the South is that the nearer the coast, the more temperate it is, but also the more expensive. Also, it ain't the heat, it's the humidity.:)

We've never been the "society fat cats", no country club membership for us. We are just trying to keep a modest roof over our heads. My husband has recently become disabled. We have less than $800 in our combined bank accounts. All we want is to pay our bills and have simple food on the table. ... not champaign or caviar.

you might qualify. For instance, you could spend way too much on defense of your house and not pay attention to feeding its inhabitants. What's good for the chimp should be good for us.

I don't have an alarm system (however I do own a licensed handgun and have a permit to carry a concealed weapon) but I did fill my freezer last week so we will be eating without going to the local food pantry for the next month maybe the next month and a half.




I guess :) I'm not like chimpy at all!
