Fire right across the road from my house

And it's a windy night. The trucks are down there but it's hard to tell how big it is - we have the cars packed and the cat in the carrier. Vibes please - this sucks. :(

4. Apparently it was a house fire

The Merc is saying that it's "under control." The fire dept. is still down there but it doesn't seem as large as it was - it was pretty alarming looking when our neighbor first ran down and banged on our door.

We're ready to go if need be but I think it's going to be okay. Sure wish we'd get some rain. :scared:
