Hey loungers. The St. Jude commercials with Jennifer Aniston
also feature my friend's little girl Ellie. There is also a commercial with Antonio Banderas and Robin Williams with other patients.

Makes me cry every time I see it. She's five and has brain cancer. She's going to beat it, though. I just know it.

If you are at CVS, please consider adding $1 to your total to assist St. Jude in their good works.

1. I saw that commercial earlier in the evening and it was very sweet
What a lovely little girl, your friend's little girl. I pray the treatment is helping her.

St. Jude's is my favorite charity, they do wonderful things.

2. So far, so good. It is a very, very invasive form of cancer
more commonly found in adults. The ribbon she has on her head? It is hiding her ear to ear scar that is a result of the surgery to remove the tumor.

We're praying merh. A lot.

Thanks for your response.

3. I don't go to CVS very often (the Drug Fair is cheaper, and filled with all sorts of tacky goodies)
But next time I go to CVS, I'll donate a buck.

4. Aw, thanks, sweetie. It's our pharmacy of choice
after having both Walgreen's and Rite Aid fill Rxs that would have killed TM and Mr. respectively. :eyes:

I just hope this baby makes it. I can't imagine. Between Ellie and Mr.'s friend who is on life support at Columbia, it's been a rough couple of days.

She's very cute, too. If you see the commercial, which is all over the MSM during primetime, I think you'll agree. She's darling.

5. I donated last time I was there...

wow, it makes me sad to think of kids so young with such an intense illness. But I know from seeing some of them who are at the Children's Hosp. here, that they are strong kids.

14. We've been donors for a long time, but I love, love, love
this campaign. It really brings the issue right into your living room.

I feel so lucky that I didn't have to deal with this, I feel that the least I can do is scroll a check.

6. Lelapin's roommate is starting her new job at St Jude
right after New Year's. She told her parents when she was young that she was going to work at St Jude.

Oh, and I donated at CVS. :)

8. Tell her to look Ellie up. She stays at the Target House
but is getting treatment at St. Jude's. Ellie presented Sarah Ferguson with flowers when she visited and now with this video, she's somewhat of a celebrity. There was also a Larry King segment. A REAL one, not a Radio_Lady one. :hide:

How are you feeling?

11. Isn't she darling?
We're all holding our collective breath that she beats this. They couldn't get all of the tumor(can you believe it was a softball sized tumor in that little head? :wow: ) so that is why she is doing the chemo at St. Jude's.

12. she is precious and holds her own with Jennifer (who looks lovely, too)
I hope she metaphorically takes a bat to that softball sized tumor and sends it sailing out of the ballpark. Hug her for me when you see her.
