Thank goodness for good neighbors!

I sent my daughter into school this morning with a note that my mom was going to pick her up at the end of the day instead of her normal trip to Kinder Care. She had a doctor's appointment and I would meet my mom at the doctor's office with my daughter.

However, the doctor's office couldn't see her today at a convenient time (it was a follow-up from a month ago, so not an emergency), so I called her regular school back and told them that her grandmother was not picking her up today from school, but that she would pick her up from Kinder Care later, and that my daughter should take the Kinder Care bus home, as usual.

However, she apparently got confused and took the regular bus home - only there is nobody at our house.... Kinder Care called to say she wasn't there for her pickup and then I called the school and they said she wasn't in the school waiting, and my mom hadn't picked her up, either...

But, she was found safely at our neighbor's house.

Phew.
