sad week in the pirate household

one of our cats ran out the door last wednesday evening while i was bbqing. he has not come back!

11. Minnie did that twice to me.

Once when we lived in the sticks. I was sure she was coyote food, but a week later she showed up at the door, meowing her heart out. Took weeks to get all the nettles and knots out of her fur. Then after we moved city-side, she did it again. Took about four days that time.

Other than that, she was terrified to even go out the front door.

Here's hoping, Pirate. Maybe he's just off to see the lizard.

13. Oh noes! We had an inside kitteh make an escape once. He was gone for

over an hour but he didn't get any further than under the trailer. It was snowing and he didn't like the cold under his little toes. LOL Still, I was frantic while he was gone. (I also lost him in a wall once. Got in behind the insulation in the basement of the house we were moving into. Lost his sister the same night. Hubby moved them across town inside the tool box in the back of his truck. When we opened it, only one kitteh was in there! I flipped out completely. I was running outside in the dark and crying while I looked for her. His family thought I was nuts and was kinda laughing at me over it. :( Turned out we had never lost her because she had never left. She had crawled up inside the ratchet drawer of the tool box. We pulled out the drawer and there she was, lying flat as a pancake. LOL)
