What kind of car should I get?
I'm gonna trade in my gas guzzler for a fuel efficient car. I'm looking at a Toyota Corolla or a Saturn. I'm leaning towards the Saturn cause they are really cheap. Anyone have a Saturn Ion 3?

1. Check Consumer Reports for reliability ratings first.
I don't remember for sure, but my recollection is that the Saturn Ion is a lemon.

3. I don't have a Saturn Ion, but I do have a Saturn and am happily amazed
at the service, the car itself and the whole experience. It was worth it for me but I wasn't looking for much.

4. I like the Mazda 3 for that spec/price point.
But both those cars you're looking at are good.

5. My Corolla is a hooptie wagon
The engine is good, but all the interior trim fell off LONG ago. Get a Honda.

I got rid of that piece of crap earlier this year. It had some major electrical issues. I swear that thing was possessed. I would go with the Toyota.

9. We've had a Honda Element for almost 5 years...
.. solid as a rock, rides good, gets 24-27, part Tardis I think considering how much we can stuff in it :) and it's built in Ohio.
