7. I'm gonna drive in shifts
Four hours in first

shift

Four hours in second

shift

etc.

So I should be fine.

I haven't figured out the reverse thingy yet, but I'm sure it will be fine.

8. If you drive in reverse, the miles come off the odometer, too.
Thanks to Ferris Bueller for that tip.

9. Cool.
Maybe I'll slot a reverse shift in between each of the others.

11. I did that once.
My buddy and I talked his dad into signing the rental contract for a brand new '56 Chevy hardtop.
For the prom.
We paid for it, and his dad was kind enough to sign the papers.

This was back in the day when you were charged for mileage.
After driving around a lot that evening we jacked it up in his driveway, cranked it, put it in reverse, and let it run at idle all night.

The next morning we were shocked to see that it now showed fewer miles on the odometer than when we rented it.
So we drove it around some more until we'd logged 20 miles more than the odometer reading when we picked it up.

We were bad.

10. Nothing.
After the apocalypse and there is only Ray Mears and the cockroaches left alive, at least he'll have a Toyota to drive.
