Is it "winter" yet where you live?
This week is looking like the week that Oregon turns the corner on the seasons (I'm referring to the weather seasons, not the astronomical ones!) We just went from mild sunshine last week to a biting cold dense fog in the valleys. But there must be some places in the country where it still feels like fall - how about you? What state are you in, and has the turn into winter happened yet in your area?

4. Actually, yes.
Snicker if you will, but it rained like an MF all day Saturday, and now we're lucky to get in the low 80s for a high! :-)

5. Is it ever really winter in Florida?
Not compared to other places, and for that, I am quite glad.

8. Yep, it's been snowing on and off since the weekend
Luckily temps are right around freezing so not much is sticking. It's gray and cold, though, which I happen to like in moderation. I might not love it so much by March.

10. Getting there!
Gray blah day in Portland...Currently 38 degrees, night time getting near freezing. Actually kinda typical this time of year, we had a great Fall..nice and mild and mostly sunny...like you said, until about a week ago.

13. How's late December in Gainesville?
I'm planning on going up there after Christmas and I'm hoping if it is warm enough (mid 60s and above) I can go to some of the springs and do some swimming. Good thing about the springs is that the temperature is 72 degrees year round.

16. Variable
Expect anything from freezing (with light snow every ten years or so), to eighty plus degrees and sweltering. Mostly it's just pleasantly crisp with highs in the sixties during the day and lows in the forties at night. But I can't guarantee that.

17. There's no such thing as winter, here.
There are maybe a couple of weeks where the temperature drops into the 40s and 50s, but that's hardly a "winter".

Yes, it got cold before Thanksgiving, which is a rarity nowadays. The cold, or at least chilly, weather is supposed to last well into December.

26. (self-reply) Yes, it started this week in Oregon.
It's only been in the low 40s here in Eugene, with similar chill in many of the valleys. Since that's where most people live, it counts as winter.
