Where are all the stories of the doe eyed, love torn woman who falls hopelessly for the drolling, plodding zombie who must balance his passions for the woman with his underlying desire to eat her brains?

5. Eating a brain, may be sharing information.
Since you asked for discussion, and their are no real vamps or zombies, I figure a metaphor conversation is warranted.

Its all perspective. If you give a person a reason to think, and have a conscious. To some, they think you are zombified. You can see this clearly in Shawn of the dead. Just before a zombie turns, they are kind to people. They find their conscious, and so they are dead to the few that want to rule by declaring no empathy. And zombies are slow, dumb, and act in patterns they learned through life. Also matches some biblical meanings. To be one of the living, "you got to be hard eddie." - George C Scott. The idea of no mercy. Common buisness power teachings in some places.

The problem is the zombie story is told backwards. It is from the perspective of someone judging most people as dead. There can be many meanings for dead symbolically. But when you look at the genre you see some consistencies. I have posted them before so wont repeat.

But basically, people are dissing most people when they say zombie. Problem is, we ain't dead. Thats the hard part of talking about parts of the lingo that is established. If you disagree with it. You have to first explain its original intent, then where your belief branches, or flips it back.

I am sure alot of people 'in the know' are laughing and playing a joke on people when they get people to line up and do zombie dances. Its one of those 'hanging from a lightpole' things... if people really knew...

Vamps are a different subject. Similar, but different class of label. Newest interps are moving the vamp as the flip side of the zombie.

They say. "we alive, you zombie"
response is "we alive you vampire"
I say, what does it matter. Some say vein, some say brain. :)

8. There's only one that I know of
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107626/

Made in the early '90s, so it was ahead of the curve for the Bush-era zombie resurgence. Excellent little comedy.

16. I used to like vampire stories but my ex-wife completely ruined it for me.
Now when I see people pretending to be "dark and mysterious and feel things you don't feel" I gag. What retarded posers.
