Eagles: "The Last Resort" gives me chills
Every time I hear it. What a powerful song. So beautifully written, so exquisitely performed. Just an all-around great song!

1. That has always been one of my favorites
by the Eagles. I taught myself to play it on the piano when I was a kid. I haven't thought about it or played it in a long time. But I've got it playing right now! Thanks for the reminder.

3. It kind of exemplifies the darker parts of American history.
One part that rings true now is the line

"put up a bunch of ugly boxes and Jesus people bought 'em."


THat is a great song.
