I'm sick and they have cut my hours to 8 a week at my new job.
And my parents want even more money for gas out of me.

2. On the bright side
I'm working 0 hrs. a week, lost my health care and was told that I make too much on unemployment for state or other low income health insurance plans.

3. I have 0 health as well.
And I am still confuse on why, with dropping gas prices, I have to pay double for getting to work.

4. Doesn't add up does it
Maybe they want more compensation for their time

I'm guessing your town must have just as lousy public transportation as my town and not an option for you instead?

5. Way bad!
the trolley only runs in the west side of town where the businesses are. and there are three taxi services here that has set zone prices and it depends on how busy they are on how long the wait is. As for my parents, they are putting the weight on me and not my sisters. they do a lot little runs that takes more gas than my run. I did the math on it. But since one sis is on SSI and the other has my nephew they think I should carry it.

6. We feel your pain.
ThinkBlue has now been cut down to 2 days a week (although they're giving her an extra day or two *this* week, so she can cover for two other student employees who went home for Thanksgiving break.) Two days a week at $7.25 an hour doesn't add up to much--with taxes and such taken out, her bring-home is around $200 every two weeks.

The rent is paid for a while, thanks to student aid. We just have to manage the electric bill, the natural gas bill, minutes for at least one phone, peripheral household necessities that Food Stamps don't cover, and Christmas of course. If not for the help of kind people who care about us, I honestly don't know what we'd do.
