So.. I dreamed I was a sea serpent
working with my sea serpent partner rescuing pumpkin crabs from the fish market. The market was like you see in Asian places with the long skinny boats wall to wall in a canal.

Turns out they shipped the pumpkin crabs live. We found out when one fell in the water and swam off. They were just immobilized with cold. The bad thing was... when the pumpkin crab hit the water its scent called sea serpents from the deep very quickly to come scarf them up. Luckily, my partner and I were city serpents and didn't eat crab.

Most of the people at the market were humanoid. It was kind of like that bar on Star Wars. We were actually served glowing drinks and stuffs when we met with the double agent to arrange shipping the pumpkin crab to safety.

The dream ended when we were slithering our dogs for a walk in a dog park.

I'm glad I'm not a sea serpent :D

G'morning!

:hi:

1. What a neat dream.
Why can't I ever have fun dreams like that?

I once dreamed I was an alligator, and another time I dreamed I was a skate key, but neither dream ended well.

4. It was indeed a fun dream
There were some dark spots, but we overcame them.

Not so fun waking up and processing it though. The dogs thought I was crazy laughing out loud.

7. Wait! hmmm..
I don't recall, but if you can tell me more about where I might have seen "Cecil the Sea Serpent" that would aid me in determining WTF I was thinking. hehe

15. Transformation dreams are usually fun
:D

Other than your account written out here, did you make a fully detailed record in a dream journal or somewhere else? I know from experience that when you start to record your dreams, you start to remember more of them. Other than having some fun in that alternate universe, how did it make you feel, if you want to say?

I've been centaurs (male and female) as well as a full draft horse. I have never been something inanimate; well, maybe I have as I was once turned into djinni-smoke. I would love to know what it's like for something solid yet unmoving :) For me, the feelings associated with being something non-human (or mostly so) are almost overwhelming in the waking state, yet I just go along with the flow in the dream.

For those that want to have dreams like this, here's a site with instructions on how to program your dreams in advance.

By the way, your dream scenario reminded me of the spoken-word "song" Wet Dream by Kip Addotta

17. I couldn't do a dream journal
The men in white would find it and I'd be put in a rubber room :D

I dream in full detail, vivid color usually. Some are black and white but it is the era in my head. Stuff like "you dirty rat" would be in B&W. However, if I'm a knight, highlander, dinosaur hunter it would be full color. I also have real good recollection of the dream for most of the day. It fades though. Usually but not always, I know I'm dreaming. My daughter also does this. She never told me until about a year ago. She shared a few dreams with her SO and was called a loon, so she had to call me to check to see if she was normal. hehe

I felt amazed. It was so real I could still faintly smell fish. It may have been my dog's breath that triggered it. I often am fleeing some great force. This time it was "punkin crab poachers."

18. I suppose if those same men ever looked through my "documents" folder
the same fate would await me
(dreams, fictions/fanfic, observations, OBEs, meditations...) ;)

I know when I have the transformation dreams, they are definitely lucid, or like you say, I know I'm dreaming. That link about programming your dreams is from a site on lucid dreaming and how to make that happen more often. Normal dreams fade quickly for me, but I could tell you in very good detail the first centaur dream I ever had, now almost 20 years later, as it left that strong of an impression on me. The horse-dream was even stronger in feel, like the sensations you felt in your sea-serpent dream. Although, as I have had OBEs (out of body experiences) I do wonder if that wasn't a "dream" and went further, like a "possession". So you see, I could be a target of the MIW even now

Lucid dreams really do give us some great feelings and sensations. You might try writing down only the weird ones anyway, just to better remember them later. Then put them all in an eBook :P

Dog's-breath-trigger, huh? Well, at least you didn't blow a seal
