Poll question: Friday Night Battle of the Bands II: Santana vs. Los Lobos
This drummer loves that stuff!

Right now I'm leaning towards Los Lobos.

But Santana {not Carlos solo}...

I'm gonna vote later on this.

15. They are on Leno tonight, actually
give em a look. They are great live performers - just saw them in Minneapolis a week or so ago. I've known them since they were wee little ones backing up their father - great guys.

8. Los Lobos.....La Pistola Y Corazon
Edited on Fri Feb-27-04 08:55 PM by Waverley_Hills_Hiker
This one album is the decide for me. A roots album of spanish folk music.

Los Lobos was maybe more uneven in quality, but maybe more roots.

Santana was maybe more consistent, but closer to rock in some ways.

Sort of hard to compare these bands really...they where coming from different places, musically, but both quite good.

13. Los Lobos
c'mon people

David is one of the the MOST underrated musicians of my generation. LL were on ACL recently, and he's gigantic, but stillplays and sings and writes great music. And the rest of the band is pretty damn good too.
