Just today, I noticed something very disturbing
I've been exposed to this my entire life, and I don't know why I never noticed it or felt as creeped out by it as I do now:

The Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team. LEAFS!!!!!!!!!! LEAFS?!!?!?!?!?!??!!?

Jesus fucking christ, people!!! Fuck anything good I ever said about Canada. This should not stand. It's more sickening than "The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim".

4. *rimshot* yes, I do.
I think it was just one of those things, like Santa, from my childhood that I didn't question. However, unlike Santa, it was not made-up, and thus not requiring the same level of scrutiny.

2. I know. It should be Toronto Maple Leaves
As in, every year the Stanley Cup leaves Toronto because some other team wins it.

5. I'd rather a name like that than the Visalia Rawhide
or the Bakersfield Blaze or the Lake Elsinore Storm.

Or the St. Louis Collective Noun.

Or the Oxford Comma.

7. They're hockey players though.
They got through school on their athletic ability and charm, not their spelling and grammar skills.
