One of the stupidest phrases in the English language

11. Eh, not so fast.

There are a great many people who do bring about their own demise by frequently engaging in high risk behaviours.

I don't necessarily see them as victims. We're all going to die eventually, so the simple fact of death itself doesn't make one a victim of fate.

And truly, people who, for instance, drive under the influence with some regularity are very likely to get themselves killed (and unfortunately, they're likely to take someone else with them). This is only one example of fairly high risk behaviours common in our society where I feel the phrase is an accurate fit.
