1. great news - if I had a decent backyard
I'd offer it up for gay DUers to have a marriage there.

I believe each judge on the CT Supreme Court was appointed by Republicans Lowell Weicker, John Rowland or Jodi Rell, though Weicker was an ex-Republican when he was governor.

7. Uhh. Don't put Weicker and the Criminal John Rowland in the same party.
Joe Lieberman is much closer to the Repug's than Weicker was or is.

11. It's hard to believe it's been 18 years since CT had a Dem for a governor.
:wow:

O'Neill was the last one. Didn't Toby Moffitt run against O'neill in 86? Who was the guy that ran in 1990 for the Dems and finished third?

I remember running into Moffitt in a bar in Waterbury back in the mid-80's. Last I heard he is a lobbyist??

12. Bruce Morrison, I believe
Democratic congressional reps seem to make lousy gubenatorial candidates - Morrison & Kennelly both failed badly.

9. That is great news!
I have a question about Prop 8...

Does 8 have to win with a simple majority, or does it need 3/4s?

10. Simple majority

Kollyforniya really needs to do something about this initiative system. Any horde of whack-job haters can get a measure on the ballot with enough signatures and enough money. That's how Prop 13 happened in 1980, and it's basically responsible for the economic mess the state's in now.

Oops... 1978.
