A telemarketer called my cell phone... what should I do?

It was an automated message. Isn't it illegal for telemarketers to call your cell phone?

1. Nope.

I get 'em all the time. Recorded messages that tell me that this is the second notice that the factory warranty on my vehicle is about to expire.

And they call from all over the place, too. New York. Delaware. Virginia. Georgia. Ohio. Wyoming. Nevada.

I just don't answer those calls and delete the messages (if one gets left...not always) after my phone rolls over into free nighttime minutes.

that way if the number gets out, I don't get calls.

"Pay As You Go" phones as your new phone. That'll teach 'em.

17. File FCC Complaint

Making unsoliceted cold calls to wireless (Cell) phones is a violation in the US.
Upon receiveing the third call in 48hrs filed an official compalint with the FCC. 1 more call in the next 24hrs and then silence.
Concidering that some people report these calls go on for months I suspect that some good came from the complaint.
