Went to an ob-gyn appt

to see the ultra sound pictures of the future grand child. The little babe is just under one pound and 8-10 inches long. All the fingers and toes are present and accounted for. Saw a couple of big yawns and an attempt to get a thumb in the mouth. I asked the son and daughter-in-law if they had thought about any names. They are leaning toward Oliver David for a boy and Penelope Belle for a girl. I was thinking about the Penelope part and wonder if she' be Pennie or Nell? Then I thought oh, no, she'll be Nelly Belle. Poor little thing.

One of my god nieces is named Isabella. Bella is what she's usually called tho.

At least the name indicates they think their daughter will be both clever AND beautiful, if it's a girl!

So they parent Bela and Boris.

for some reason when I click on my post it isn't showing the replies. I can see them from the MY DU feature for some reason. Yes Billy this will be my first. The parents are choosing not to find out the sex of the baby until it is born. I can't wait!

People grow into their names or make up nicknames that fit them. We are all saddled with names not of our choosing, that's life! I never liked my name but at 51, I'm kinda used to it! I think the names are fine. And congrats in advance of the arrival!
