Ever been TOO tired to sleep?
I think I'm there. Between the emotional ups and downs I had here a couple of days ago, lack of good sleep, stressful work of late (lots of work that keeps going wrong..AND tight deadlines), giving emotional support to a good friend who needs a strong friend to help her through a difficult patch and now finding out my mother is in the hospital..sigh..
I'm exhausted but sleep isn't coming. I can't seem to turn my brain off...And I have my busiest day of the week at work tomorrow while maybe having to try to get over to the hospital if my mother needs me....

:banghead: x(

1. Yes I have.
Last year during "Wildfire Week", I was seriously too tired to sleep. I got only about 8 hours of sleep in 6 days.

8. Often.
If not for meds that knock me the fuck out I would rarely ever get to sleep. I'm often so tired, but still awake, that I'm a zombie.

I'm really tired that you're there.

12. A warm soak in the tub?
Some herbal tea? Getting off the computer... LOL! I don't sleep much normally, not by choice. So I'm exhausted a lot of the time. Body's tired, but the brain doesn't like to cooperate. You could always try that trick we did as kids. All the lights off, no radio/stereo (back in the old days, before ipods), no tv. Start at your toes and try to relax your body, all the way up to as far as you get before you hopefully fall asleep.

15. Thanks for all the advice everyone
I did end up falling asleep about 1:30 or so..but I had so many bizarre dreams that I'm not sure I got much productive rest...well I guess its a caffeine loaded day to deal with this. Wish me luck. I so want it to be 5pm so I can come home and crawl back under the covers.

16. Yes and when you find yourself in that sort of situation
just get comfortable and relax. Don't worry about getting any sleep, just enjoy the rest and down time. More often than not, if you get yourself in that mind set (not worrying about getting sleep) you actually find yourself dozing off.
