...This is the third "load" I've taken off the damn trees.

We've done cobbler. Just eaten them. And I've got six gallons of wine brewing.

I don't care for jam or jelly. WTF am I supposed to do with all these freakin' peaches?!?

1. Slice and freeze
That's what we do! You can save 'em in cobbler portions, make peach 'scream w/'em during the winter.

4. Peach Sorbet
Ingredients

2 1/2 cups of peeled, sliced peaches, pits removed
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of Grand Marnier (optional)

Method

1 Place the sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and salt in a blender and purée until very smooth. Push the peach puree through a fine mesh sieve and discard the debris.

2 Mix the Grand Marnier to the purée just before churning. Place the purée in an ice cream machine and churn according to instructions, for approximately 25 minutes. Serve immediately or place in an air tight container and put in the freezer for two hours to firm up.

Makes a little less than one quart or sorbet

6. You're like I am with eggs.
Put them in cartons next to the road with an honor box.

If I see them, I'll stop by and buy a few! :hi:

9. I agree. Put them out for others to enjoy.
If they're just going to rot, why not make a few bucks on the honor system?

8. Do a block party with a peach theme or similar. Seriously.
Reminds me of the Family Guy slap at Disney: "There are too many ostriches!"

10. Donate them to a local shelter
I'm sure they would love to have free peaches to give out to those who need food. Maybe in foodbanks could use them to distribute to people using their services.

16. If I were near you, I'd buy them.
I LOVE peaches and they are only good up here for a period of about a week in the spring. I'm so jealous I could spit! Seriously!
