Did you know the Jews believe it is "theft of a reputation" to lie about someone?

A person can actually change a person's reputation with just one sentence-- just one lie.

When I was in college, in a co-ed dormitory, I caught a group of guys talking about me.

I stood in the doorway... the guy was going full steam ahead... saying, "She's been in every guys room in this dorm." His back was to me as he just kept going. One of the guys was quick to respond, "She's in this room now." The irony? I was a virgin. It's nothing, now, looking back. But I remember it upset me so much I took off in my little Toyota and stayed 200 miles away from there that night. That former college roommate of my boyfriend - the one gossiping about me - never did apologize to me.

I've stopped running away. There's no use really.

People will say what they will say.

What the fuck does it matter. As my mother used to say, "We are but a flicker in the light of eternity."

I miss my mom today.

And, on that note... I need some coffee.. and soon!!
