1. 80 and "nothing on"? Lucky you!
We have about twice that... with half as much as you have to watch.

3. I think I watch exactly the same amount of TV
when we have ten channels as when we have 200 channels. I can lower my standards like that....
you don't want to know how far I'll sink.

6. What, you don't like The Knife Show? Or the ten thousand sports channels?
Or the five hundred million infomercials? Or the Secrets of Nostradamus? Or the other five hundred million infomercials?

13. We have Dish Network satelite, channels go from 3 to maybe 600.
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 08:01 AM by old mark
Most of the time, we watch the local news or reruns of British antoque shows. Maybe a movie every weekm maybe two.
My wife likes "The Closer" and whatever that show about "Grace", and I sometimes watch "Cold Case" because it's set in Philly.

I like it, though, because we get som fucking odd shows in the higher numbers, like "The Roping Show" about cowboys throwing ropes for the rodeo.
Sometimes get some good shows on the Documentary Channel or another Art/Music channel whose name I can't recall.
Network TV is fucking dead, and there seems to be no news program worth watching anymore - CNN is all smiling stupid people with styled hair and cute names who all are Republicans - they are better thatn the rest, but nor usually worth watching.

There are no soprts shows worth watching except for the sporting events themselves, and they are much better with no sound.

14. I've got 13 channels of SHIT on the T.V. to choose from...
I've got wide, staring eyes,
And I've got a strong urge to fly,
But I've got no where to fly to
fly to
fly to
fly to
fly to
fly to
fly to

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, Babe!
When I pick up the phone...

There'll be nobody home.

15. That's why I went to basic-basic cable
Even though I'm in the city of Minneapolis, I can't get decent reception without it, so I pay my $12 a month to get the network and local channels as well as PBS and MHZ Worldview. Democracy Now is shown on one of our public access channels, so all in all, it's a good deal.

That, Netflix, and a collection of imported DVDs, which I play on my region-free player, are all the viewing I need, maybe more than enough, actually.
