I'm okay, but my neck is sore. Anyway, I was prescribed Percocet. Whenever I take it, my face develops an uncontrollable itch. I want to know if this is common. Does percocet affect you in the same manner?

1. Call the pharmacist
could be an allergic reaction. Then call the doctor who prescribed it. There are lots of other meds out there.

Hope you feel better soon!

2. Do NOT take any more.
You are describing an allergic reaction and if you do take more, you could have an anaphylactic reaction. Call your doctor and tell him to give you something else.

And, the sore neck bites. Mine is still sore 25 years later.

3. That's classified as a serious side effect

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
shallow breathing, slow heartbeat;

feeling light-headed, fainting;

confusion, unusual thoughts or behavior;

seizure (convulsions); or

nausea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, itching, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
