just installed Office 2003. comes with a (pretty good) voice recognition package that works with all the Office components.

You bought that overpriced, increasingly priced, crap?

Office 2000 seems to be good enough, Office "XP" (2002 had nothing much worthy of an upgrade except for its UI being rearranged in a blender...

I recall when MS peddled Office as "a suite of applcations that all look and act the same." Uh-huh. (note they don't use that tagline anymore) So why then do none of the Tools->Options menus look and act alike in the apps within Office? :shrug: It's been over 10 years, when are they going to fix things instead of create more bloat code?! As for integration, it works sufficiently, but it's not spectacular, nor is it great for open standards. I like open standards. Open standards allow the best of both worlds (standardization AND the ability to be flexible and get what YOU want.)
