You know what I like about The X-Files?
Everything.

I just bought Season 1 today, and I'm re-watching some episodes I haven't seen in ages. I saw the new movie a couple of weeks ago, and it reminded me how much I used to love the series. It used to be my favorite show in the history of EVER, and it remains one of my top three shows ever.

1993 through 2000... Sigh. Those were the days.

1. I love those early seasons.
Anything before season 7. Favorite episode has to be Jose Chung's From Outer Space.

3. I love everything up through Season 7.
Season 8 and 9 were such a damned shame...

14. Favorite Fun Fact from "Jose Chung"...
Lord Kinbote was named after a character in Nabokov's "Pale Fire".

16. I like the one where they explain the Cigarette Smoking Man's backstory.
Kennedy, MLK, UFOs and he was a failed writer. Based on E. Howard Hunt, also a failed writer.

2. Yup those were the best years of my life so far
We had a Dem in the White House, I had no money worries, I was happily married, and I was still young and attractive. :sigh:

4. I just saw the new movie
it was interesting. It wasn't really X-Files... I'd consider it to be more of a spinoff, like the short-lived (but very good) Lone Gunmen series. It was kind of a 'Mulder and Scully after the X-Files' thing. :)

5. The tone was very similar to some classic X-Files episodes.
It was definitely different since they were both out of the FBI, but it reminded me of some very good episodes from the series.

6. I like them a lot too...
I just finished season 7 the other day, I'm to broke the get the last two seasons....

It was literally a treat to watch them all in order, instead of catching them on the Sci Fi channel....

I still love the Lord Kinbote episode!

17. If you're a fan of the series, then I highly recommend the new movie.
It reminded me of when The X-Files was at its very best. An excellent trip down memory lane.

Especially because it broke it so very, very badly.

18. I know EXACTLY how you feel.
The first 7 seasons were outstanding. The last two... They just made me sad inside.

20. It was without question FOX Television's finest news show!
If you haven't, go see "X Files: I Want to Believe" -- even if you've never seen the series.
