So I went on a mountain bike ride this afternoon and got sick.
I biked along a trail, on a steady climb, until the grade was steep enough that I could hardly take it anymore (I'm like putty right now). I felt nauseous and had to stop.

Then I burped and the nausea left. Why would the excessive effort have made my stomach gassy?

1. The gas had to come from somewhere. Maybe the bouncing brought
it up. Belching is good.

2. you were working gas out
intestines are full of gas, and movement can push the gas bubbles up into the stomach or out the other end.

5. Was it really hot? That can do it although I am not sure burping
would help.

6. I have exercised so hard that I puked.
Sometimes has to do with the volume of food in me when I was working so hard.
