1. My CO could not explain the MRE to any of us, and NO ONE opened the
foil pouch marked "Corned Beef Hash."

4. I never had a C-Rat explained to me
Someone just tossed a P-38 and said "Bon Apetit"

MRE's are more, uh, "explainable"?

8. I had a LRP ration
Edited on Thu Aug-07-08 01:53 PM by MicaelS
Back in JROTC Summer Camp in 1972. One of the nastiest things I ever ate. LRP ration Menu #4: Beef with Rice + cold water = crunchy beef and crunchy rice. Nasty. :puke:

14. 1,500 each for summer, something like 3,000 for cold operations
Which is the same as one of those hungry man dinners

15. Those hungry man dinners have that many calories?
Yikes! That is a days supply right there. Which makes perfect sense if you are in the military and that may be your only meal for a while, but a damn tv dinner?
