Poll question: Would you send an email to Skinner in support of a new Boojatta:Religion/Theology forum? |
I would of course agree to not post any new threads in the regular Religion/Theology forum.

6. Why don't you start your own board. |
You could have your own R/T forum and you could recommend your own threads as many times as you wanted.

11. If you recommend this thread... |
does Boojatta have to recommend one of yours?
I really should make this a poll question.

10. I don't start my own board because I don't even want to be |
an ordinary moderator. Why would I want to be the court of appeal for moderator decisions?

12. Well, unless you start your own board |
you really do not have a right to complain about how a board is being run...

21. If you think that I violated a DU rule, then perhaps you should alert |
on the post(s) that constitutes/constitute action not warranted by any right.

26. I was just commenting on how dissatisfied you seem to be with your DU experience lately. |
And believe me, if you had violated any rules, I would feel free to alert on your thread.

27. I was simply concerned that some snarky and arguably off-topic |
posts on a thread may have been a deterrent that kept away thoughtful or good-natured contributions.

28. You are asking for a specific forum for YOU to discuss R/T issues here |
I fail to see how it is off topic to suggest that perhaps you form your own board.

29. Well, there is a difference between a new subforum and a new message board. |
Anyway, I didn't have any of your posts in mind when I referred to posts that were snarky and arguably off-topic.

30. Well, being that there is already an R/T forum here |
it does seem rather redundant to form another one at DU just for you. Are you having a difficult time getting along in the current subforum?

The size of my ignore list may have muliplied by a factor of 1.2 within a single week. (The number 1.2 is a very rough estimate. The real factor may be larger or smaller.)

32. Maybe look within to figure out why people are annoying you enough |
to be put on ignore.
I have found, in my own life, that if I am having difficulties with many many people, often times the problem is myself and my behavior.
YMMV

33. They seem to be reacting to polls in R/T that they don't like. |
Instead of ignoring the polls, they post what are in effect complaints. However, there is no actual complaint or explanation.

34. You cannot control how others react to what you put out there. |
I know I can be thin skinned at times, but for my own sanity, I really strive not to take what is posted on the message boards (I am a member of several) too personally.
