A $37 leg of lamb!!! grrrr...
This is the absolute last time I allow Mr 'pede to accompany me to the grocery store.
I knew I was in trouble when I said I was off to the store and he asked to come along.
He behaved ok until I left him parked in the meat dept (Mr 'pede has back problems and needs to use one of those scooter thingys). I go to grab some produce and come back to see him staring into the meat case. I ask if he wants some lamb loin chops and he says he's getting a leg o lamb. The lady behind the meat case is wrapping it up, I see the price on the scale, she stops so we can have a stare-down, she blinks and whispers "do you want it?" Sheesh, it's the size of a Volkswagen!
Mr 'pede is looking like the dog looks when he knows he's done something very bad.

Poor baby, it's in the fridge to do up tomorrow. (Yum)

1. don't forget the mint jelly.
Bought two Pork loin chops last night on the way home, $1.99/pound. Okay they had to be cooked by today but cheap and good is good.

2. No problem
have a jar in the fridge, always keep it on hand. Haven't decided yet what to fix with this big guy. Thinking some brown/wild rice. Wish I had thought about getting asparagus, but I need to go out tomorrow anyway and can pick some up.

4. No, just your regular dead lamb
Maybe came from down around San Angelo where Mommie Dearest is from.
Funny, we used to get lamb rib chops all the time in Florida, but in Texas, which has a lot of sheep country, it's hard to find them, at least where we are.
