pure evil i tell you.. not to mention that this mri lasted at least 45 minutes and i'm slightly claustrophobic. i've had several mri's before, and this was by far the smallest mri machine i've ever been in.

1. You didn't get a choice of music?
Further proof that the healthcare system is in a state of decline.

3. So what was worse
the music or the claustrophobia? I'm guessing the music, but I've never had an MRI (although I am slightly claustrophobic, so I can empathize).

the whole time i was in there i was either thinking about how awful the music was, or i was plotting how i could manage to scoot out of the machine if something bad happened

4. The open machines aren't as accurate as the others.
Tell your doc you're kinda claustrophobic so he can prescribe a xanax or something to keep you relaxed.

6. i've never been in an open mri
Edited on Fri Jul-25-08 05:58 PM by Ava
this one was just especially small. i don't flip out or anything, and i certainly don't want to take something like xanax. i've had quite a few mri's, so at this point i'm pretty used to them. i just would prefer to not be in a small space ;)
