ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Ready for the latest in spa pampering? Prepare to dunk your tootsies in a tank of putrid shit.

Shit pedicures are creating something of a splash in the D.C. area, where a northern Virginia spa has been offering them for the past four months. Ima Ho, who runs the Yvonne Hair and Nails salon, said 5,000 people have taken the plunge so far.

"This is a good treatment for everyone who likes to have shit-smeared feet," Ho said.

She said she wanted to come up with something unique while finding use for the shit that has been filling the double-wide trailer she shares with her 14 children ever since the plumbing stopped working late last year.

Ho said the stagnant piss in which the turds float appears to eat away dry, flaking skin in much the same way muriatic acid eats stains off concrete.

"At 25 bucks a pop and over 5000 shit-baths so far, I'm basically raking it in!" Ho said. "Looks like I'll be able to pay off my meth dealer before he kills any more of my kids."
