I'm listening to a recording I made of a Barenaked Ladies instore performance in October of 1994. During his opening spiel, the gentleman from the store introducing them says "Tomorrow, Dave Matthews is gonna be here." This is immediately followed by my voice saying "Who?" Just a few months later, "Under The Table And Dreaming" was the biggest album in the world. Oops.

1. I remember seeing the first TV performance...

...of The Spice Girls on a Saturday morning show in the UK. I took one look at them stumbling their way through "Wannabe" and said to my wife, "these bozos are going nowhere."

Actually, I shouldn't have been surprised. I have a supernatural ability to be wrong about popular culture. I just wish I knew a way to make money out of it.
