I used to think all it took were the Right Words — "I think you're beautiful" or whatever. Yeah, that can certainly have some effect for a little while, but it won't erase years of bad programming. I'll still say things like that, but I don't expect it to work miracles anymore.

I was gonna draw a comparison, like, "How would you feel if your wife/girlfriend said, 'Aw, I love your receding hairline'?" But that's not really valid — indeed, no such comparison is, because men can have no understanding of what it feels like, emotionally, to have breasts.

I know it starts young though, one of my nieces came home from school (she was 9 at the time) crying because some of the other girls were calling her ugly, what can you do but tell her they are wrong and she is indeed very pretty and beautiful? I gave her a hug too...

It would seem to me that women might want to keep that sensitivity for pleasurable activities. Also most implants are way too firm. There are very expensive jobs that are soft and probably allow for sensitivity. Encourage her to explore all the consequences and get advice from people other than the plastic surgeon, like women who have had it done.

She should have a body for it. It does work for some women, but for others it just looks ridiculous.

to date i have no idea why.... she was slim and beautiful and now she has udders on her chest... she looks 10 years older, imho... i could not tell you what size she was, small but perky...now she looks overweight at 5-4, 110 lbs.... she was perfect, imho, but always self conscious.... if they make her feel good about herself (tho there was no reason to feel bad, again imho) then i am happy
