Rush Limbaugh addresses prep school. Gives them perspective about career opportunities.
Rush Limbaugh was invited to the summer session of James B. Logger (aka Jimmy BLogger) High School to give them a "tough love" speech about their career opportunities. He spoke to a class of 28 students enrolled in a Conservative Blogging class, and told them that they would be well advised to abandon their dreams of punditry.

"I was a loser in high school," Limbaugh confessed. "I was a poor student, a was fat, ugly, and obnoxious. By the time I left high school, I was bitter and angry. Being from a wealthy family, I was ineligible for welfare, which I found infuriating because I had no work skills and, frankly, no work ethic. I still don't. My father got me my first job in radio at a station he owned. But, I was spoiled and lazy, and I was fired. I took other jobs, got married, went on unemployment for a while. All the time, the rage was building inside me because I knew that if I had been born a minority that my lifestyle would be accepted. But I was white, and more was expected of me. I finally got a break. I started my punditry career when conservativism was at low ebb, and conservatives were less informed than at any time in history. I could say anything and as long as I was angry at liberals, the listeners would believe me. In no time at all, I had an army of Dittoheads. All angry. All conservative. All so poorly informed that I never bothered to fact check anything.

"You students here at Jimmy BLogger Prep cannot follow my footsteps. You're bright, energetic. You have superior work ethics and high moral standards. By all means, keep blogging. Tell all the world of the ills of liberalism. Be angry, but be informed. Today's search engines in the hands of skeptics are brutal for neophyte liars. So -- blog on. But get a day job and keep it."

After polite applause, Limbaugh refused to answer questions and rolled off in his limo.
