Monkey Munch recipe from Jon & Kate plus 8

Yummy, bad for you dessert. The kids are facinated with the TLC show and wanted to make the snack that Kate makes for her kids. So, we made it today. For any parents with young kids, it's easy to make with them. The recipe calls for a lot of powdered sugar, which turned out to be too much for us. Next time, we'll add less.

9 cups Chex cereal
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Put cereal in large bowl. Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Pour over Chex cereal, put into a large plastic bag with powdered sugar and shake well to coat.

Spread mixture evenly on wax paper and allow to cool.

The only thing I can think of is that they both have to be stressed and stretched so thin. Exhaustion has to be a huge part of it.

3. If I had to stay home and take care of 8 kids, six of them the same age I would go crazy.

I watch the show sometimes, Kate can be a little rough with her husband.

I wonder what goes on when the film crew isn't there.
