Famous People....
Edited on Wed Jun-18-08 11:09 AM by Carnea
Well I did it again and everyone is mad at me. I didn't recognize a famous person.

A little background I went to a party in the early nineties when I was a strapping young thing. It was my first trip to LA and the company I worked for had business with a studio out there so it was an actual Hollywood Party. I was introduced this pretty blond lady who looked in her early thirties and said she was an actress. She told me her name and I drew a blank I didn't know who she was. She literally followed me around the party figuring I was kidding after all she was in the biggest comedy of last year.Everybody saw it. She even got out a scrapbook with press clippings. I had not seen it. How could I not know who she was?

I mean I knew Oliver Stone and was a Val Kilmer fan from the movie Top Secret. But as God as my witness I had no idea who this woman was.

Well I did it again. This time it was a radio personality and a basketball player. I still haven't caught the basketball players name I think he plays for either the Magic but it could be the Heat... well either way he is a very famous basketball player who is not Shaq.

I nicely explained I don't listen to the radio since I have an MP3 player in the car and I almost never watch basketball and haven't been to a game since Jordon was on the Bulls.

How am I supposed to know the name of a basketball player wearing a suit???? Shouldn't they have their jersey on so at least I got a last name and a number to spot me. And who can recognize someone on the radio????

I want a new law From now on if you are famous you must wear a name tag at all times that states "I AM A FAMOUS PERSON MY NAME IS __________ AND I AM FAMOUS FOR DOING _________"

That would make life much easier. To many famous in this country and I don't know who they are.

Oh and by the way I still haven't seen "When Harry Met Sally."

4. To be honest, I had to look to see who was in When Harry Met Sally
But I know who she is.

My cousin moved out to San Francisco a few years back and is an interior designer. The last time I talked to him he said that he has been to some of the parties and houses out there with famous people and he never knows who they are.
